The judge asked all the things you had told us she would ask, and agreeably noted that child support would extend longer than usual (we told her the children had disabilities), asked about my health insurance, and that was it. She signed the QDRO and we got certified copies.
The judge asked if we had had help preparing the agreement and we gave her your name.
In the middle of looking over the agreement, she looked up at us and said “you have done a very good job.” The credit goes to you for helping us work out an agreement that was fair to both of us, in the midst of a lot of conflicting emotions. I personally really appreciate your patience.
We also appreciate the ways in which you tried to keep costs down, keeping things moving at a good pace, sometimes even when I was slowing things down.
We were very happy with your services, in the midst of a complicated and challenging situation, emotionally and financially. – Pam B.
